Breaking: Tribunal affirms Tinubu’s victory at presidential election, dismisses Atiku’s petitions

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu at the last presidential poll and dismissed petitions filed by Atiku Abubakar and PDP.
Lovetvnews Nigeria reports that the Justice Haruna Tsammani-led five-member panel held that Atiku’s petitions lacked merit.
The tribunal said Atiku’s three petitions were found to be unmeritorious.
“I hold that the return of Tinubu as elected President by INEC is right,” Justice Tsammani said.
This online news medium gathered that the tribunal said Atiku and the PDP did not successfully prove the allegations that Tinubu did not win the election and dismissed allegations.
“This petition accordingly lacks merit. I affirm the return of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the duly elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties are to bear their cost,” he stated.
The court also dismissed Atiku and PDP’s petition of dual citizenship against the president.
