Abductors Of Niger Commissioner Demand N500m Ransom

Lovetvnews Nigeria reports that the abductors of Alhaji Muhammed Sanni Idris, the Niger state Commissioner for Information, have demanded a ransom of N500 million.

According to Daily Trust, the commissioner was kidnapped in the early hours of Monday from Baban Tunga, his hometown in the Tafa Local Government Area of the state.

According to a source in Minna, the state capital, the kidnappers have subsequently established contact to make their demand known.

“THE KIDNAPPERS ARE SEEKING A RANSOM OF N500 MILLION, AND A LONG SECURITY MEETING PRESIDED OVER BY THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR JUST FINISHED AT THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, BUT NO DETAILS OF THE MEETING HAVE BEEN RELEASED,” THE SOURCE ADDED.
